What If It Does Work Out?
In April, I talked about God-breathed Dreams. Pictures. Visions. And I've spent this month thinking about it. About how we may ask ourselves who we are to dream of such. About how we can be tempted into inaction because we can't figure out how it will come about.
I've also thought about how we need to believe in what we have, in spite of the possibility of absence of physical proof, for us to do anything that will truly count. We call it faith. We call it conviction. This is what drives us.
And I've thought about the trap that is fear, a trap we so easily fall into. Self-preservation. What if it doesn't work out? But what if it does work out, my dear? What if it does?
Audacity is a necessary currency in the economy of impact.
I'm reminded of how God had to tell Joshua over and over, “Be strong. Be of good courage. Only be strong. Be courageous.” It was not enough to have a picture of the promised land. It was necessary that he had the courage to lead the Israelites there.
So, this is your reminder as much as it is my reminder, whispers of grace and strength, “Be bold. Stand firmly on business. Insist on what is true. Be courageous.” It will work out. The One who sent you is with you.
